a quick tour...
Morning Glory
It is not anything special. But it is what you make of it. Make your way to the back of the residence or either by turning right as you enter the gate or walking out of the Dining Hall door to witness the beautiful sunrise.

Frequently asked questions
Is it mandatory to have breakfast, lunch and dinner at the dining hall?
No. If you wish to have a meal from the dining hall in your room you are to bring along your lunchbox or own plate to dish up.
What is Pay And Connect?
Pay and Connect is a UCT platform where students are able to request lunch vouchers to spend on campus. By requesting a voucher you therefore cannot eat lunch at the DH. You can allow your vouchers to accumulate by not using them, but do be informed that all vouchers expire at the end of the month.
Does the Residence cater for special dietary requirements eg. halaal, kosher, vegetarian?
Yes, we do. If you do have any special dietary requirements, please make sure to contact the catering representative to notify him as soon as you move in.
how many times can I do laundry per week ?
you are permitted ONE laundry slot per week, however you can wash without a booking between 10 pm till 8 am the following day.
Do students have unlimited freedom? (e.g. being allowed to play loud music during late hours)
No. Silent hours start at 9pm. That allows students to study in peace during silent hours. There are sub-wardens on duty on duty 24/7, should they be required to restore order in the residence.
